About Green4OHS
The Green4OHS – Empowering Occupational Health and Safety for Sustainable Development in the Western Balkans project is designed to strengthen workplace safety and health standards across the region. By combining expertise from leading universities and institutions, the project focuses on building practical tools, resources, and training materials that support organizations in creating safer and more sustainable working environments. It also aims to align occupational health and safety practices with European standards while addressing local challenges in diverse industries.
Funded through the Western Balkan Fund – EU Joint Action, Green4OHS emphasizes regional cooperation, knowledge sharing, and inclusivity. Through workshops, digital solutions, and a cross-border network of partners, the project contributes to long-term improvements in safety culture and environmental responsibility. By empowering professionals, policymakers, and companies, Green4OHS not only improves day-to-day safety at work but also supports broader goals of sustainable development and regional integration.

FTS has extensive experience in international projects, industry collaboration, and knowledge transfer, positioning it as a regional leader in advancing education, research, and sustainable development. As the lead partner of Green4OHS, FTS coordinates project activities, develops training programs, and ensures that outcomes are aligned with both academic standards and the practical needs of the labor market.
Sarajevo School of Science and Technology
The Sarajevo School of Science and Technology is a leading private university in Bosnia and Herzegovina, known for its modern curriculum, international faculty, and strong ties with global academic institutions. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje is a key academic and research institution in North Macedonia, specializing in engineering, innovation, and applied sciences. With decades of experience in educating highly skilled professionals, the faculty plays a central role in advancing industrial development and technological progress in the region. Through its participation in the Green4OHS project, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering contributes expertise in workplace safety, engineering solutions, and sustainable practices, supporting the creation of practical tools and training materials that enhance occupational health and safety standards across the Western Balkans.
